EPA Lead-Safe Certified Firm – Certification # NAT-F17828-1

When doing a home renovation, many of the activities can cause hazardous particles to spread into the atmosphere if lead-based paint is disturbed, in the form of lead chips and dust in the air. This is harmful to the children and adults who are living in a home undergoing remodeling.

The EPA requires that companies doing home painting, repairs, remodels, and renovations that may disturb any lead-based paint, in homes built before 1978, schools and child-care facilities, be certified by the EPA. These renovation companies must have their workers trained by providers who are approved by the EPA and must always abide by lead-safe practices while working. People can receive certification by the EPA for home renovations by enrolling in and taking an 8-hour training from an EPA-approved trainer.

AWARDS

Angies List 2018ANGIES LIST

Angie’s List provides ratings and referrals for consumers with honest feedback from actual customers. American Kitchen and Bath, Inc., has been honored with the Super Service Award from Angie’s List every year since 2007 for our remodeling services.

Over 2 million homeowners nationwide look on Angie’s List for reviews when searching for the top local service providers. These including roofing contractors, handymen, electricians, plumbers as well as medical and dental professionals, just to name a few. There are more than 720 separate categories of service providers that Angie’s List collects reviews and ratings on. The consumers who rely on Angie’s List are regular people who are searching for trustworthy service providers they can hire to perform top quality work.

On Angie’s List the reviews are not sent in anonymously. Members of Angie’s List submit them but their information does remain confidential. These reviews and ratings are available for the companies being reviewed to see. Because there are two sides to a story, a company can respond to a review, which tells their side of the story and better informs the consumer. Members are allowed to make a report on a company once in six months. This makes sure that no one can “stack the deck” either against or in favor of a given company. Angie’s List looks at all reviews before they are posted, making sure there are no red flags or irregularities. There have been cases of service companies making reports on their own company, and these are removed and that company loses their membership permanently.

The Super Service Award from Angie’s List

This award recognizes excellence among service providers and healthcare professionals. They must continually receive superior ratings and reviews for their service from customers and clients on Angle’s List.

As the marketplace grows in each city, eligibility requirements may change so that the top 5% in each qualifying business category, in each area, receives this award. Background checks are required of everyone eligible of the award.

To become eligible to receive the Super Service Award companies and/or service providers must achieve the following prior to October 31st:

Maintain a Rating of “A” Rating in all of the following:

  • Overall Grade Average of 3.5 of all reviews received
  • Recent Grade (from the prior three years) of 3.5
  • Review Period Grade (from the prior year only) of 3.5
